Importance of identifying sensory needs in education
Understanding why our senses are important for learning is just the beginning!
We are all unique, we process and respond to our environment in a different way to others.
For students with sensory processing differences it can impact their education in a wide range of ways.
As teachers and educational staff we need to be aware of these differences in order to adapt how we can support and teach our students to thrive and succeed.
Sensory regulating characteristics may seem distracting for you while teaching however most of the time they are helping that student to regulate, focus and attend. We have a whole host of resources which can help you support all students.
